Which ever way you wish to celebrate today - it is a day of celebration all around the world! I bought my staff Paczki's this morning and half of them had no idea what they were. That's what I get for being from Michigan. Hamtramck has the largest paczki celebration that we used to go to. I miss the homemade ones that we used to get.
I assume that the Mardi Gras in New Orleans will be fabulous, especially considering all they have to celebrate with the Saints winning the suepr bowl. And at my Lutheran Church back home, they will have thier annual pancake dinner where they raise money for Lutheran Social Services. There are so many traditions that I miss.
So which ever way you choose to celebrate, I hope everyone has a very fun and blessed day!
