Harry is our Fancy Rat. We got him this past fall from my mom. She had been in a pet shop back in Michigan when a lady brought him in to be fed to the snakes. Apparently, he had been her mother's pet and when her mother was put in a nursing home, she didn't know what to do with him. (I won't go into how disgusted I am that this woman decided that her mother's pet should become snake food.) My mom took him before the people at the pet store knew what was happening and as she did her shopping, he just rode around on her shoulder. He is such an awesome rat. He is incredibly smart and comes to his name when you call him. He loves to run around the in the kitchen when I am cooking and we are working on getting him litter trained. I love him dearly and am so happy that we got to give him a new home:)
